The Living Line is a site-specific commission by The Line. For this project I illustrated the plants, birds and insects that can be discovered in East London, encouraging people to explore the wealth of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London. This is an illustrated nature trail that hopefully shows just how exciting and accessible the natural world can be even if we live in an urban environment.
As part of the development of the commission I led botanical drawing workshops with Year 5 students from Carpenters School. The resulting drawings are featured in The Botanical Gallery at the centre of the installation.
